We currently have a full-time permanent position available for a Tradesperson’s Assistant at our Mildura Corporate Office which services, repairs and maintains a large range of industry leading John Deere equipment.
The Role
You will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Assisting Technicians with the assembly, repair and pre-delivery of equipment where directed
- Assisting the workshop with repair jobs as directed
- Operating a forklift
- Maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of Company buildings including both internal and external and garden and lawn areas.
- Assisting with the preparation of field days and customer events.
- Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of machinery onto vehicles for transportation
- Maintaining the yard and stock areas.
- Following all workplace health and safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments and hazard monitoring.
Essential
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Physically fit with enthusiasm towards manual labour.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Well presented.
- Good knowledge of the geographical area and local roads around the area.
- Ability to work within timeframes and to meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Previous experience in agricultural industry.
- Experience in the automotive or earthmoving industries will be considered.
- Valid Forklift licence.
