We are looking for an experienced and qualified Service Technician who is looking to take the next step in their career as a full-time Service Foreman at our Echuca Dealership. The Role
You will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Maintains communication with Service Supervisor in ensuring Technicians assigned jobs are appropriately assigned to Technicians according to their skills and knowledge.
- Manages and resolves parts requirements for technicians by sourcing additional, incorrect or missing parts to minimise delays.
- Mentors Service Technicians throughout the repair process to ensure servicing and repairs are carried out to an acceptable standard.
- Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems with Service Technicians and Apprentices.
- Inspects and maintains special tools and workshop equipment and submits expenditure requests as required.
- Provides the Aftermarket Manager with Service Technicians training recommendations.
- Oversees Service Technician work standards and works with them to improve deficiencies, focusing on pre-delivery of new units.
- Provides technical phone support to customers.

To be successful you will need:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Service Technician.
- Fully qualified Diesel Mechanic trade qualification.
- Ability to lead others.
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
- Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Forklift licence preferred
